Hey there. Welcome to the new James Ruse ISCF website!
I'll be your friendly webmaster for this visit. My name's Eddie. I run this place - if you have any questions, suggestions (eg. "dude, that's the worst HTML code I've ever seen!" or "hey, about your term 3 itinerary..." or "my cat's breath smells like cat food") or just want to drop me a line, send it along to manifold@soon.com.
If this is your first time and you're wondering what those four letters on the James Ruse front page are, then I'll tell you. ISCF stands for Inter-School Christian Fellowship. You can find us in the school hall or music room every Friday lunch - it's kind of like a regular church, except it's run by and for school students (as well as a few support dudes/dudettes, and the Christian teachers). If you want to know who manages the ISCF, check out the leaders page. There's a link to it over there on the navbar. I'll get to that in a sec.
Back to the ISCF itself. There are dozens of groups just like ours meeting in schools over NSW. About two hundred, actually. What happens at one of these meetings? Talks, group discussions, games, singing, dramas, not to mention all the socials, prayer meetings, as well as Focus, which is where all the action happens. Non-Christians and Christians like come to ISCF for the half-hour and listen to speakers (mostly students, occassionaly teachers, alumni, missionaries or other guests) talk.
That's enough of me babbling. I'll guide you around the website now and then the rest is up to you! Turn your eyes to the navbar up at top-left.
What's On has the current listing of ISCF's talks and events for the term. You can look there if you want to know what's being talked about next week, so you can read up on the passage, or if there's a special topic you wanna hear - you can find it there. Also, there are details on your grade's Focus group.

Rewind is just like What's On, except in reverse. If you missed ISCF; if you've forgotten what happened a couple of terms back; or if you just have a plain bad memory like me, you can find details on previous ISCF talks and events in the Rewind section.
|
Outside Events has all the details about Christian stuff going on outside of ISCF. KYC, CYC, even Koorong sales! will be listed here, as well as church camps and socials or outreach nights. If your church has something going on, email me and I'll post something about it.

Resources is kind of like my bookcase at home. Here you can find all sorts of things useful to Christians or people interested about Christianity. Again, though, I don't know everything (close, but not quite :p), so if you have any useful additions to this page, just whistle.

Contact is where you head off if you want to get in touch with one of us leaders. Phone numbers, email addresses, all that jazz. Remember, though, it's often fastest and easiest to simply find out who someone is on the leaders page, and then rock up to us straight after ISCF or in the playground!

Leaders! Click this with caution. You can find bios on all the leaders and support staff here (complete with photos - AAAH!!). If you want to know us, head here.

HouseParty is the famed ISCF camp that we hold at the end of each year. We've got details on past, upcoming and future HouseParties here - and if you have photo albums with HouseParty stuff in them, give them to me personally and I'll scan them in, then stick 'em up on the site.

Okay - that's all from me. Have fun on the site, and get hold of me if you have any questions!
Your favourite clumsy Christian,
- Ed
